“Songs You Know and Love, Holiday Classics Edition”

The power couple, Melissa & Jake, create live acoustic music interpretations of popular Rock, Pop, R&B and Country songs spanning the past seven decades. For this special evening, they are focusing their repertoire on Holiday Classics celebrating the timeless tradition of Christmas Music.

Some compare them to a modern day Sonny & Cher, blending smooth vocal harmonies with highly crafted instrumental skills. Their three independent albums, international touring experience and 25 years of making music together is obvious when you hear the polished sounds of Melissa & Jake.

Their career together began on St Paddy’s Day 2001, but really kicked into gear in 2003 with their rock & soul band “7 Million Jigawatts,” performing at festivals and clubs around the Midwest. Their first single, “I’ve Got You Covered”, from the album “Taking Flight”, was featured in an advertising campaign for the 2010 Ford Mustang.

In 2011, Melissa & Jake began performing exclusively on Princess Cruises ships. They spent nearly seven years entertaining audiences around the globe. They have also released an album of punched up holiday classics, the Sinister Santa Sampler and in 2023, an all live acoustic trio recording called Tributes comprised of their pandemic era songs.

Their vast experience delivers a dynamic spirited performance filled with their exclusive brand of joviality. Since their return to the Detroit area in 2017, they have been delighting audiences across the USA as a duo, and sometimes even add other musical friends.
