Brett Lucas
Brett Lucas is an award-winning guitarist, singer-songwriter, and producer who started his career at a young age, performing in Detroit’s blues scene. As a guitarist, Brett has played alongside some of Detroit’s finest blues artists, including Thornetta Davis, Johnnie Bassett, and as the guitarist and musical director for international soul legend Bettye LaVette.
He has written and released four studio albums, the most recent of which, Soul and Courage, won the 2020 Detroit Music Award for Outstanding Blues Recording. He has also produced albums for Jeremy Spencer of Fleetwood Mac fame, Tosha Owens, and others.
From international festivals to late night talk shows, Brett has played on stages across the world, including the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, Byron Bay Blues Festival in Australia, Carnegie Hall, and on many television appearances, including Late Night
with David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Austin City Limits, and others.
Brett earned a degree in jazz studies from Wayne State University and is the winner of six Detroit Music Awards. He currently performs with his group The Brett Lucas Band and Revival: A Tribute to the Allman Brothers Band.
Beth Stalker
Detroit vocalist and songwriter Beth Stalker has often been referred to as an old soul. With an inherent ability to convey raw emotion, her voice possesses a texture and depth that is easy to love and hard to forget.
She released her first album, Little Liz, Jesus Loves Me, at the age of 5 and has been singing professionally ever since. Stalker is the winner of seven Detroit Music Awards and was also a finalist on American Idol in 2008. She has recorded six albums and has performed around the Detroit area for more than 20 years. Her most recent album, Beth Stalker, Live at O’Malley’s, is a collection of some of her favorite jazz and blues standards.
